Set in a gated community surrounded by jungle and protected mangroves, the resort is around 10 minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen and 30 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

The resort has 120 guestrooms and suites, each with a private pool and Caribbean Sea views. Marble, wood, leather and locally woven fabrics shape the indoor-outdoor spaces. Dining includes international and local restaurants, a beach club, café and pool bar, with an exclusive restaurant from The Alinea Group and Chef Grant Achatz. Three outdoor pools, watersports, a Kids Club and a Spa at Mandarin Oriental with an indoor lap pool and outdoor spa trail give guests plenty of ways to spend the day.

Architecture is by Migdal Arquitectos, with interiors by William Gray of Meyer Davis, landscape design by Maat Handasa, spa and beach club elements by Esrawe Studio, and art curation by Bosco Sodi.
