The hotel looks out toward Porto's famous ribeira waterfront, and that view — the tiled facades, the old wine lodges, the arched bridges — is something you'll find yourself returning to throughout your stay. Rooms are well-proportioned and thoughtfully put together, with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and private bathrooms stocked with quality toiletries and slippers. Select rooms come with balconies, and some look directly over the outdoor pool, which on a warm Douro Valley afternoon becomes the obvious place to spend a few hours.
